The Emerging Architecture series of exhibitions has been a fixture in the Architekturzentrum Wien's programme since 2000. So too, in 2003, 10 further exceptional Austrian proponents of new architecture are being presented. In combination with the two previous exhibitions in the same series, the total of 30 teams of architects offers a representative overview of current positions in Austrian architecture. The exhibition has been conceived as a compact touring show that, in combination with the series of accompanying catalogues and lectures on the work, is shown in various international architecture forums. The project enables Austrian buildings and concepts to be presented beyond the domestic borders and integrated in the various local architecture discourses.
